Some exciting news for Cardinal Innovative today, my latest project has just been featured on the homepage of the well respected website TreeHugger.com! To see my GMO infographic on their site and what they said about it, click here.

TreeHugger is visited by 1 million unique visitors every month, making it one of the largest environmental/social responsibility websites in the world. My graphic sat on their homepage today and was likely seen by hundreds of thousands of people.

This is a great honor! It is rewarding to know that what I spend my time working on day in and day out is not simply a job, but a way to educate and reach many people.

When I was in design school, one of my professors asked all of us incoming freshmen why we decided to become designers. There was silence in the auditorium, no one was quite sure what the expected answer was. I was thinking along the lines of how I wanted to spend my life working creatively, and not wasting my mind on boring tasks for the rest of my life. Then our professor responded “I hope its because you want to change the world. Thats what you will accomplish as a designer. You will have the power to effect what people learn and the way people think .”

Today  with this infographic, I feel like I have made a small amount of difference in this world.

And that is what this is all about.

EDIT:  This GMO infographic was also re-posted on visual.ly. This is a site dedicated to beautiful and informative infographics. As a designer, it is exciting to have a spotlight on this website as well.
